"For Nature Lovers Only"
The Wallow
is a new guest house located in Historic Hog Hammock on Sapelo Island, Georgia. This lodge is a dream come true for owners
Cornelia and Julius Bailey, built by Julius and sons Maurice Bailey and Stanley Walker and decorated by Cornelia.
The climate controlled 6 bedroom 5 bath lodge has all the modern conveniences of home, including a Great Room with comfortable living
room area and color tv. A long family style dining table separates the living room from the spacious kitchen, where you do your own
cooking unless pre-arranged meals are scheduled with the Baileys.
All the guest rooms have names such as "Cherokee Rose", "Seven Sisters", and "Cabretta" and each room is uniquely decorated according
to the name.
Stay at The Wallow and enjoy all that Sapelo has to offer: a rowboat for exploring the creek, biking, fishing, crabbing, a shady porch
for rocking, beachcombing, hiking, birding, and anything else you would enjoy on this peaceful island off the Georgia Coast.
Please,
No Pets and No Smoking!
Cornelia says "When you come to Sapelo you see birds and bees, flowers and trees and me,
and that's the way God intend it to be!"
Cornelia Bailey belongs
to the last generation of Islanders be born and raised and schooled on Sapelo. |
